The 2013 Perfect Day visiting writer is:
Miller’s work has appeared in War, Literature & the Arts, Confrontation, The Massachusetts Review, BlazeVOX, and Lilies & Cannonballs Review. A native of Portland, he has received a nomination for Best New American Voices and is currently on the faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.
The Perfect Day visiting writer program brings one writer to Portland every summer. During his or her stay, the visiting writer will meet on a weekly basis with the Perfect Day family. Responsibilities of the visiting writer include but are not limited to: giving at least one public reading, participating in weekly critiques, organizing at least one literary salon. A stay of at least four weeks between the months of June and August is required. Perfect Day Publishing is committed to creating a vibrant writing community that extends beyond the Portland city limits.
